Lee Ying Qi

Driven by my soul’s purpose to design spaces and shape narratives that empower emotions and inspire self-fulfillment, I’ve consistently sought out opportunities that sharpen my ability to create sustainable, human-centered impact across industries. I began my journey in media and communications as a diploma holder in Chinese Media & Communication, where I led multiple large-scale initiatives as an EXCO member of various co-curricular clubs and as the Project Manager, Marketing Director, Event Coordinator, and Film Director of Project Y(OUR)S. Alongside my roles as President of the Korean Cultural Club, TEDx Operations Director, and Welfare Director of The Sandbox Advocates, I honed my skills in event management, strategic communications, and leadership — laying the foundation for my belief in purposeful, people-centric design. Professionally, I embarked on a short stint at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as their Engagement Manager, where I led internal engagement campaigns for the Inspection & Supervisory Methodologies department’s AIDA tools and C&C frameworks, deepening my appreciation for institutional communication and civic responsibility. Prior to that, I worked at Wateroam, a social enterprise that designs clean water solutions for humanitarian aid, where I witnessed firsthand the intersection of design, sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and humanitarian impact. Today, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the National University of Singapore, with a minor in Innovation & Design. This step into landscape design as a new medium for social healing and systems transformation marks a major milestone—one that brings me closer to a larger vision: to design physical environments that nurture well-being, inclusivity, and empowerment. From managing brand partnerships as a content creator to leading multidisciplinary projects across sectors, every opportunity I’ve pursued serves a single agenda: to build a more emotionally empowering and socially sustainable future for the next generation.

Bilingual Media
& Communication
Student

Being a strongly self-driven and passionate individual, I chose to enrol into this course to pursue my passion in social media marketing and content creation.

This bilingual media diploma equipped me with an all-rounded content creation and professional marketing skills in both English and Chinese. Through my project works, I had extensive practice in multiple aspects of the media skills such as video production, visual communications, design, marketing, radio production, news feature writing, script writing, audience research, pitching and others.

Sharpening my skills and learning more about this field truly developed my communication skills and critical thinking skills greatly as I am trained to work with people of different backgrounds and constantly adapt to last-minute changes in this fast-paced and ever-changing industry.

Content
Creator

As I was looking for platforms to practice and develop on the skills I have acquired through my Diploma course, I started my own social media channels on various platforms. Now, I am also an active Content Creator on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, where I use different channels to advocate for a fruitful and motivational lifestyle for youths.

This helped me gain a more diverse experience in the pre-production, filming and post-production stages of content planning, video production and social media management.

I have also been honourably invited to Shopee, Refash, and Lazada's Ambassador programme, while being seasonal Brand Ambassadors for Ana Luisa, TastyToastys, EcoPaste, Dr Althea and Yishion. Managing brand collaborations and content creation on top of school commitments have challenged my time-management skills and honed my resilience.

Leader

Pursuing self-betterment and to further challenge my limits, I took up various leadership roles in different organisations and different projects.

Having a strong interest in events planning, I joined the Events Committee in Korean Cultural Club and got promoted to President in my third year of serving the committee. At the same time, I also got selected as one of the Executive Committee Member of The Sandbox Advocates where I stepped into the roles of the Welfare Director, Creative Director, and TEDx Operations Director, where I am the Student Advisor for the new batch of EXCOs after I stepped down in my third year. I was also appointed as the Marketing Director and Video In-Charge of the HeyKaki X NTU Challenge for one of my school projects, and the Overall Project Manager of my final year project - Project Y(OUR)S.

Throughout this period of time, I inevitably faced many tribunals with the huge amount of workload to balance. It was my purpose and vision to empower and inspire my peers that pushed me through this ongoing journey. The process of witnessing the growth of my members, my team and myself, was what kept me going despite the constant pressure on myself as the leader of so many individuals at once.
